Despite the rumours earlier this month about a Black Panther movie coming down the pike, it now looks like Marvel?s next unannounced superhero movie will actually be another team-up of sorts. According to various sources around the web, Marvel is getting ready to unveil a Guardians of the Galaxy movie at the San Diego Comic Con next month and this will likely be the mystery project that they have slated for a May 2014 release. It?s not the first we?ve heard of this possibility; last August Twitch reported that a Guardians of the Galaxy movie was already in active development and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has previously mentioned them in interviews. But can such obscure characters carry on the massive success of the Marvel films?
One unusual, but it's a reeeeeeealllllllly good one5:00 minute mark if you're impatient....

An arrested drug suspect accused the US of pressuring him to claim family ties to wanted drug kingpin 'El Chapo.' Is this US meddling in Mexico, or is this an attempt to exploit mistrust of the US?

US anti-drug officials in Mexico have been accused of pressuring captured drug suspects to claim to be relatives of the most wanted Mexican drug kingpin in order to influence upcoming presidential elections in the country.
When brothers Felix and Kevin Beltran Leon were arrested on June 22, many news sources incorrectly identified Felix as the son of Joaquin Guzman, alias ?El Chapo.? When his true identity was revealed a day later, it was dismissed as an embarrassing mishap for Mexican authorities.
Now however, it has emerged that there may be more to this initial mix-up. La Jornada reports that the defense lawyer of the brothers, Juan Heriberto Rangel Mendez, is claiming that his clients were offered incentives to pretend that they were related to El Chapo. Mr. Rangel says that the brothers spoke with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) personnel who said the ruse only had to last until the upcoming July 1 elections, after which they would be freed.
Felix refused to cooperate, according to Rangel, despite the assurance of officers that he would be freed if he did so.
Amidst concern over presidential frontrunner Enrique Pe?a Nieto?s commitment to combating organized crime with US assistance, it makes sense that the US would seek to boost the chances of the National Action Party (PAN) candidate by making it seem as though the current PAN government is hot on El Chapo?s trail.
However, the evidence for Rangel?s allegations is extremely flimsy. As proof that his clients spoke with DEA agents, he says Felix claimed that those who questioned him were ?blonde, tall and spoke English,? which is far from indisputable proof and sounds more like a fabrication based on stereotype.
More likely, the claim is an attempt by the lawyer to exploit endemic mistrust of the US and its role in the war on drugs to drum up support for his clients.?Pe?a Nieto is leading PAN candidate?Josefina Vazquez Mota by at least 15 points in the polls, and the US would not likely risk a damaging controversy on a move that would likely have limited effect on that lead.

Back to the Future clich?? Where we're going, we don't need no Back to the Future clich?
Ah, prom night. That magical mix of innocence, high hopes, and hormones that led some of us down the wrong path in life. But what if you could?grab your hoverboard, go back in time, and change what happened at your prom? What if, in 1955, some weird scientist dude bumped his head while on the toilet and invented the world's first time traveling limo?!
Well, that may exactly be what happened. How else would you explain the picture above of a six-door, stretch?DeLorean Limo, uploaded to reddit by (appropriately) user Dr_Emmet_Brown, Christopher Lloyd's character from the?Back to the Future series?
We don't know much about the DeLorean limo, except for the fact that it has six stainless-steel gullwing doors ? that's a whopping six more than the?new bicycle being manufactured by DeLorean ? and a lot of style. But we feel pretty confident in putting our journalistic integrity on the line by saying this limo can most definitely travel through time.

The Saints reportedly are poised to make Drew Brees the highest-paid player in NFL history, and the Saints allegedly aren?t negotiating with Brees in good faith.
We?d hate to see how much money the Saints would be offering Brees if they were acting in good faith.
Lost in the contention that Brees? role in the 2011 labor talks are being used against Brees in his contract talks is the fact that the Saints have repeatedly made very significant offers to Brees.? In 2011, they made an offer that would have put Brees in the Peyton Manning/Tom Brady ballpark.? In February 2012, they applied the exclusive version of the franchise tag, which put Brees in line for $16.371 million this season, more than $1 million per game.? In March 2012, they offered another deal that would have made him the highest paid player in the league.? In June 2012, they upped the ante once again.
So where?s the bad faith?
Not giving a guy everything he wants isn?t bad faith.? Not blowing out a team?s salary cap for one player isn?t bad faith.
If the Saints aren?t happy with their most important player because of his role in the labor talks, then the other 31 teams presumably like him even less.? So bad faith would have been, at a minimum, using the non-exclusive version of the franchise tag, since no other team would have signed him to an offer sheet and given the Saints a pair of first-round picks if the Saints hadn?t matched.
Bad faith also would have been giving him no franchise tag at all, thrusting him onto a market full of teams that would have collectively lowballed him, as their way of blackballing him.
Drew knows deep down that the Saints aren?t sticking it to him, because of his role in the CBA talks or for any other reason.? That?s why the initial report from Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com regarding the union?s contention that the Saints are discriminating against Brees contains the ludicrous suggestion that ?The quarterback did not play a role in the decision . . . with the union moving forward of its own accord.?? Brees wants to squeeze the Saints with an unfounded claim without getting his hands dirty, so he?s hiding behind the notion that the NFLPA has decided on its own, without regard to the wishes of a member of its Executive Committee, to make an outlandish charge that the Saints, by offering consistently to make him the highest-paid player in the league, are screwing him.
Brees has built up plenty of equity in New Orleans and elsewhere over the years.? If Saints fans take the time to see through this one, it could all be gone in the blink of an eye.
None of this changes the fact that the Saints foolishly have delayed getting this deal done.? With coach Sean Payton suspended for the year and with the franchise otherwise in disarray, Brees? presence during the entire offseason program should have been regarded as critical to a successful effort in 2012 ? especially since the Saints? postseason performance hinges on home-field advantage unlike any other team in the league.
The Saints also had been leaking that Brees wants more money than he actually has demanded.? Stupid, yes.? Bad faith, no.
The Saints need Brees.? The Saints love Brees.? But his role in the CBA talks is irrelevant to the ongoing inability to work out a long-term deal, and Brees knows it.

BEIJING (AP) ? Pottery fragments found in a south China cave have been confirmed to be 20,000 years old, making them the oldest known pottery in the world, archaeologists say.
The findings, which will appear in the journal Science on Friday, add to recent efforts that have dated pottery piles in east Asia to more than 15,000 years ago, refuting conventional theories that the invention of pottery correlates to the period about 10,000 years ago when humans moved from being hunter-gathers to farmers.
The research by a team of Chinese and American scientists also pushes the emergence of pottery back to the last ice age, which might provide new explanations for the creation of pottery, said Gideon Shelach, chair of the Louis Frieberg Center for East Asian Studies at The Hebrew University in Israel.
"The focus of research has to change," Shelach, who is not involved in the research project in China, said by telephone.
In an accompanying Science article, Shelach wrote that such research efforts "are fundamental for a better understanding of socio-economic change (25,000 to 19,000 years ago) and the development that led to the emergency of sedentary agricultural societies."
He said the disconnection between pottery and agriculture as shown in east Asia might shed light on specifics of human development in the region.
Wu Xiaohong, professor of archaeology and museology at Peking University and the lead author of the Science article that details the radiocarbon dating efforts, told The Associated Press that her team was eager to build on the research.
"We are very excited about the findings. The paper is the result of efforts done by generations of scholars," Wu said. "Now we can explore why there was pottery in that particular time, what were the uses of the vessels, and what role they played in the survival of human beings."
The ancient fragments were discovered in the Xianrendong cave in south China's Jiangxi province, which was excavated in the 1960s and again in the 1990s, according to the journal article.
Wu, a chemist by training, said some researchers had estimated that the pieces could be 20,000 years old, but that there were doubts.
"We thought it would be impossible because the conventional theory was that pottery was invented after the transition to agriculture that allowed for human settlement."
But by 2009, the team ? which includes experts from Harvard and Boston universities ? was able to calculate the age of the pottery fragments with such precision that the scientists were comfortable with their findings, Wu said.
"The key was to ensure the samples we used to date were indeed from the same period of the pottery fragments," she said.
That became possible when the team was able to determine the sediments in the cave were accumulated gradually without disruption that might have altered the time sequence, she said.
Scientists took samples, such as bones and charcoal, from above and below the ancient fragments in the dating process, Wu said.
"This way, we can determine with precision the age of the fragments, and our results can be recognized by peers," Wu said.
Shelach said he found the process done by Wu's team to be meticulous and that the cave had been well protected throughout the research.
The same team in 2009 published an article in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, in which they determined the pottery fragments found in south China's Hunan province to be 18,000 years old, Wu said.
"The difference of 2,000 years might not be significant in itself, but we always like to trace everything to its earliest possible time," Wu said. "The age and location of pottery fragments help us set up a framework to understand the dissemination of the artifacts and the development of human civilization."

Octopus balls in Barrhaven? Say it isn?t so!
In Japan, they have been serving these grilled snacks called takoyaki ? tako, meaning octopus, yaki meaning fried or grilled ? at specialized food stands for almost 80 years. An analogy, and no doubt a straining one, might be a savoury Timbit, but with morsels of sea creature in the middle, drizzled with mayo and a Worcestershire-style sauce.
I did my takoyaki homework ? even consulted a friend in Japan who swears that she makes them at home and they can be quite tasty ? after having an appetizer serving at Nippon Sushi, a three-month-old restaurant of about 20 or so seats in a Greenbank Road mall.
Alas, I?m not a takoyaki convert because of the Barrhaven rendition, with its too-chewy octopus. But the restaurant is doing some things right, while flunking on other accounts, and it gets a check mark simply for serving some less common Japanese items in addition to more standard fare and ostentatious, deluxe, North American-style maki rolls.
We get our hopes up simply because the restaurant makes a good first impression in terms of look and service. It?s starkly minimalist and tidy, with a blond wall, matching tables and decorated booths on one side, facing an oversized mural of a Japanese parasol and an ersatz cherry tree blossoming by the cash. The sound system pipes koto music throughout our two dinners.
Service is friendly and attentive, and the kitchen each time sends some complimentary rolls as a hospitable gesture.
Of its appetizers, we try the aforementioned takoyaki ($7 for four). Better is the okonomiyaki (okonomi meaning ?what you want?), a larger savoury pancake with more flavour and more seafood (i.e., squid) content, similarly topped with squiggles of mayo and savoury sauce, surrounded by bonito flakes. For $12, it?s expensive, but not objectionable. The $4 bowl of steamed edamame (soy beans) was just fine, as were bowls of miso soup ($2).
More problematic was the menu?s ?bento? offering ($15) which came in a small, stylized pail rather than the usual compartmentalized box. Its assortment of items ? tempura shrimp, salad, rice, gyoza ? were haphazardly presented, the shrimp, which was rolled in panko and fried rather than cooked in a proper tempura batter, was short of flavour, and the dumpling was distressingly under-cooked. On a second visit, the gyoza were properly cooked, but their fillings tasted too much of vegetable and too little of pork.
Better, with its satisfying broth, was the tempura udon ($12), one of two noodle soup dishes. However, the tempura component was ho-hum, all-vegetarian and shrimp-less.
The restaurant serves nine deluxe rolls, heavy on sauce, crunch and bonus ingredients. Of the three we sampled, best was the Fantasy Roll ($12) with barbecued eel rolled tight with seaweed and cucumber, topped with avocado and fish roe. The mysteriously named B.S.C., (California roll with spicy baked scallop ? maybe that should be S.B.C.?), $12, was overly gooey but interesting, and the Spider Roll ($13) disappointed because it skimped on the soft-shell crab.
Simpler sushi, salmon and tuna nigiri were fine ? even preferable to the strongly sauced creations, which cumulatively could strike as too much of a creamy thing.
Red bean ice cream satisfied to end the meal, deep-fried green tea ice cream not so much. If the restaurant seeks and gets a liquor licence, some sake would take the edge off.

Word of Questionable Wisdom: Life's a bitch. Backhand it.
I have a few questions, first. One, how is travel from system to system performed, and how long does it take? Second, would you be opposed to a nation of sorts that was more of a Flotilla, with no real home exactly, but just a bunch of ships that move around together? (And no, I'm not planning on making the Quarians.) And third, how exactly do we describe the weapons and armor of ships? Do we just make stuff up, pretty much, so long as it's reasonable and not overpowered?
And don't mind the avatar. I'll probably change it back tomorrow, I feel like I won't be taken seriously as it is. :)

While comic book logic refuses to let major characters die, there's only one satisfying way to end this franchise, the Weekly Rising says.
By Kevin P. Sullivan
Christian Bale in "Dark Knight Rises"
Photo:
Batman cannot die. Bruce Wayne laid that in clear language while riding on his jet with Alfred in "Batman Begins." "As a man, I'm flesh and blood. I can be ignored I can be destroyed, but as a symbol — as a symbol — I can be incorruptible, I can be everlasting."
That view was never considered a radical change in Christopher Nolan's revisionist take on the Caped Crusader. That's always been Batman's mindset.
Comic book logic, however, refuses to let any major character truly, permanently die, and the light air of previous film versions would never have taken the character that far and risk ending a successful film franchise. But ending a series is precisely what Nolan intends to do with "The Dark Knight Rises."
In the latest issue of Empire, the series' creators (Nolan included) discuss giving their story a definitive ending. And though such a finale is never expressly stated, one cannot help but walk away from the article believing that not only is it likely Bruce Wayne will die or retire at the end of "DKR," but that it's exactly what should happen.
A large portion of the lengthy article deals directly with the idea of Nolan ending his run of Batman films with a period instead of a more traditional and economically friendly ellipsis. This kind of move is unprecedented when dealing with a property as infinitely reusable as Batman. Jonathan, Nolan's brother and co-writer, told Empire that he feels a solid ending helps the functions of a storyteller.
"It's the right way to end it — to blow the whole thing up! It's better than trying to spin the thing out indefinitely and make it into the Bond franchise," Jonathan Nolan said. "I mean, they've successfully pulled it off with Bond, but at certain costs, certainly at the cost of continuity. I think with almost every other franchise it's a mistake to try and keep those plates spinning. You want stakes. You want tectonic plates to shift. And as a writer you wanna feel you've worked on a complete story, with a beginning, a middle and an end."
Jonathan Nolan's reasoning behind his brother's choice to end the story necessitates some significant change in the life of Bruce Wayne, but if that shift isn't drastic enough, "The Dark Knight Rises" will not be considered a finale. The movie itself may have a conclusion, but without real, lasting transformation for the character and the series, Nolan would fail to deliver on the one promise he has made over and over again: an ending.
But does that necessarily mean the death or retirement of Bruce Wayne? For "The Dark Knight Rises" to be a true end as Nolan has indicated, the lasting effect of this film has to render the idea of any further Christian Bale/ Christopher Nolan Batman movies either impossible or meaningless. How do you do that? There are two ways: either Wayne experiences an epiphany, changing or solidifying his world view for good, or he dies/retires while the symbol lives on as foreshadowed in "Batman Begins." Which sounds more appealing to you? To use Nolan's word, which has more "stakes"?
Even if Bruce Wayne's ultimate fate won't be revealed until the film opens on July 20, it's almost guaranteed that his life will be on the throughout the film, simply because of Bane's presence in the story. "Bane is a resourceful, cunning and committed villain who knows exactly what he wants," Jonathan Nolan said when comparing him to the Joker. "He wants Batman dead and Gotham in ruins. That's fitting for a third film."
Perhaps the most telling evidence of Bruce Wayne's demise comes from the much-circulated quote from co-writer David S. Goyer, describing the final sequence of the film and his emotional reaction to seeing it onscreen. "The final scene of 'The Dark Knight Rises' is exactly that scene we talked about then," he said. "It remained completely unchanged. We both knew in our hearts that we were onto something special. I have to tell you, having finally seen everything strung together a little while ago and seeing that scene, I got a complete lump in my throat."
I rest my case.

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) ? NATO ambassadors will discuss this week whether to respond to Syria's downing of a Turkish jet in what Turkey insists was international airspace, although the likelihood of any military action by the alliance is low. The plane's downing has further hiked regional tensions over the conflict in Syria, where some 40 people were said to have died Sunday in new clashes between rebels and regime forces.
The jet's wreckage was found in the Mediterranean at a depth of 4,265 feet (1,300 meters), Turkish state media reported Sunday. The two pilots remain unaccounted for.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said the jet was on a training flight to test Turkey's radar capabilities, not spying on Syria. He said the plane mistakenly strayed into Syrian airspace Friday, but was quickly warned to leave by Turkish authorities and was a mile inside international airspace when it was shot down off the coast of Latakia.
Syria insisted Saturday that the shooting was "not an attack" and that the aircraft had violated its airspace. But Turkish authorities say Syria didn't warn the Turkish plane nor send its own jets to confront it. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was expected to make a statement Tuesday and might announce some retaliatory steps.
"No one should dare to test Turkey's capabilities," Davutoglu said Sunday.
Meantime, at the request of Turkey, NATO's governing body will meet Tuesday to discuss the incident, said Oana Lungescu, a NATO spokeswoman. The consultations were called under article 4 of NATO's founding Washington Treaty.
"Under article 4, any ally can request consultations whenever, in the opinion of any of them, their territorial integrity, political independence or security is threatened," Lungescu said. The North Atlantic Council ? the ambassadors of the 28 NATO countries ? will decide whether to respond, she said.
The last time article 4 was invoked was nine years ago ? also by Turkey ? after tensions with neighboring Iraq escalated. However, that case did not lead to the invocation of article 5, which declares that an attack against any single NATO country shall be considered as an attack against them all.
Despite some opposition leaders' calls for Western military intervention in Syria, the United States and allies have been hesitant to get involved in what could prove a protracted conflict, preferring the diplomatic route. Syrian allies Russia and China have already shielded Syria from U.N. sanctions and stridently oppose any military intervention.
It's unlikely the downing of the Turkish plane will change those calculations, despite Ankara's appeal for the NATO meeting.
In October 1989, two Syrian MiG-21s violated Turkish air space and shot down a Turkish plane on a geographical survey mission, killing all five crew members. Syria at the time promised to severely punish the pilots, who disregarded Turkish orders not to enter Turkish airspace.
Dogu Ergil, a professor of political science at the Ankara University, told private NTV television that Turkey had repeatedly sent its jets across the Syrian border for several weeks to show its military muscle at the time.
The plane's downing drew criticism from other countries pushing Syrian President Bashar Assad to end his crack down on an increasingly armed popular uprising. Opposition activists say the conflict has killed 14,000 people, most of them civilians, over the past 15 months.
British Foreign Secretary William Hague said Sunday he was "gravely concerned by the Syrian regime's action in shooting down" the plane.
"This outrageous act underlines how far beyond accepted behavior the Syrian regime has put itself, and I condemn it wholeheartedly," Hague said in a statement. "The Assad regime should not make the mistake of believing that it can act with impunity. It will be held to account for its behavior."
Hague met last week with United Nations and Arab League special envoy Kofi Annan for talks on plans for an international summit, while British officials discussed the issue in Geneva on Saturday with members of Annan's team. Hague noted Sunday that "The UK stands ready to pursue robust action at the United Nations Security Council."
Italy's foreign minister decried the shooting down of the plane as "a further, very grave and unacceptable action by the Assad regime." In a written statement, Giulio Terzi promised that Italy will play an active role in the NATO meeting Tuesday.
Syrian activists reported violence in different parts of the country Sunday, saying nearly 40 people were killed.
The deadliest incident was in the northern town of Ariha where a shell hit a home killing seven members of the same family, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.? A video posted online showed the seven men's bodies, some badly mutilated, including one who had part of his head blown off.
Activists also reported intense shelling and clashes between rebels and troops in the eastern city of Deir el-Zour and the central city of Homs, which has been under a government attack for the past two weeks.
Earlier Sunday, activists said rebels captured a military base in the northern Syrian province of Aleppo, confiscating large amounts of ammunition. The Observatory said 16 government troops died in the attacks on the base near the rebel-held town of Daret Azzeh and nearby checkpoints early Sunday.
Area activist Mohammed Saeed said the rebels had removed hundreds of artillery shells from the base. Saeed added via Skype that troops retaliated with intense shelling on the area using helicopter gunships.
On Friday, state media said 25 people were kidnapped by "terrorists" and killed in Daret Azzeh. Activists said the 25 killed were pro-regime gunmen known as shabiha.
Syria's state-run SANA news agency, meanwhile, said gunmen from Turkey clashed with Syrian border guards in Rabiah, a region in the coastal Latakia province. SANA said several infiltrators died in the late Saturday clash, while others reportedly returned to Turkey. It said several Syrian border guards were hurt, but didn't specify how many.
Turkey denies sheltering armed Syrian rebels, although many Syrian refugees have fled to camps on the Turkish side of the border.
Also on Sunday, Syrian opposition groups met in Brussels to hash out differences and plan for a democratic transition. The disparate groups are divided over whether outside military intervention would help or hurt and whether to engage in dialogue with Assad's regime. The conference, attended by some 50 people, will continue Monday.
Jordanian Information Minister Sameeh Maaytah, meanwhile, said Sunday that three other Syrian pilots had defected last week, even before a pilot flew his warplane into neighboring Jordan. He said the other three crossed overland into Jordan. He was unsure if the four pilots knew each other or had coordinated their escape from Syria.

Great news folks ? we?ve had another positive quarter of results in the office and retail leasing sectors. Our commercial real estate market has been working its way toward a recovery for the third straight quarter.?
An additional 18,350 SF of office and an additional 3,635 SF of retail have been positively absorbed in our market.? Together that is 21,985 SF of space that has been chopped away leaving the total available office and retail space at 1,571,149 SF?representing a modest 1.38% reduction.? The number of listings in the office sector decreased by a solid 4.87%, and while the number of listings in retail increased only slightly by 3 total listings, the overall square footage decreased.? These numbers are impressive when viewed in the context of the last four years.
Gainesville Outlook
We estimate that over 80% of the deals being done in commercial real estate are leasing and over 80% of those deals are office leases.? Sales are happening, but the availability of capital still makes leasing the preferred action.? Office leasing is inmost common?because of the improved employment locally and the all time low, yet stable, leasing rates.
The typical office deal is a very attractive, very clean, move-in ready space between 1,000-3,000 SF and closing at about $12-13/SF gross and are almost all located in the Northwest.?? As we pointed out last quarter, leasing will continue to be strong, rental rates will remain flat through 2012, and vacancies will?show a modest drop in office and a slow drop in retail.
National Outlook
The office sector is improving mirroring our local uptick.? Vacancies are expected to drop by 1.0% in 2012 and another half a?percent in 2013.? Rates are expected to increase 1.7% in 2012 and 2.4% in 2013. The office market is?showing improvement because of the improved employment rate.? The retail sector continues to struggle because of suppressed consumer spending and some experts think vacancies won?t improve much in 2012, but will show small signs of improvement in 2013.
According to UF Bergstrom Center?s Survey of Emerging Market Conditions,?the experts??overall sentiment in commercial real estate has hit a five year high.??The outlook for occupancy,?rents, and investment property are improved, cap rates and yields are expected to remain stable, and most of the respondents felt like the availability of capital will only continue to improve.

Each year in commercial real estate, it is necessary to establish a marketing budget for the agency office. Proactive marketing of the agency office then assists the individual salespeople in their cold calling and prospecting activities.
When the marketing activities of the salespeople are matched to the marketing activities of the office, the branding reaches your target customer. In commercial real estate, the typical target customer or client will be one or more of the following:
Property investors of existing property
Property Investors wishing to acquire in the local area
Business owners in the local region
Solicitors and accountants that have property related clients
Tenants located in commercial buildings
Tenants located in retail shopping centres
Tenants located in industrial buildings and Parks
Property developers
In recent years, the marketing process in commercial property has changed substantially with the addition of electronic and Internet related marketing. The marketing package for a commercial agency remains a critical component of the yearly business plan.
To reach your target market the following components of the marketing plan should be considered:
Direct mail letter marketing to the people in the above list should be ongoing. The best value and conversion rate in this process is achieved through following up the letter with a direct call.
Unaddressed mail flyers drops through the local post office should occur three or four times a year.
Press advertising where appropriate and affordable is useful on the days where real estate features in the local media.
Success letters should be dispatched through the local area when property sales or leasing?s have been achieved.
Just listed letters should be dispatched through the local area when new properties are listed for sale or for lease.
Radio advertising is useful in regional towns where it is more affordable and can reach the target market.
Television advertising is only useful where it is affordable and it can reach the local target market. This is usually in the case of a regional town.
Telemarketing and cold calling should always be part of the marketing package for a real estate office. Caution needs to be exercised with regards to the do not call register that could apply in your location and the local legislation that relates to cold calling processes.
Community related marketing with signboards on sports venues is always useful where affordable.
Sponsorship of community groups and clubs is also wise strategy if the members of that group are aligned to the real estate product that you sell or lease.
Developing a simple group of promotional products to hand out to customers and the people you meet each day
Signboards are the most important marketing tool in the agency business. The more signboards you have in your territory, the stronger the branding for your real estate office.
The use of the Internet today requires careful selection of domain name, website identity, listing of properties on the Internet, search engine optimisation of your website, database, and Email integration.
Social Media Marketing tools that are becoming a big component of real estate communication. Whilst this can be done individually with each and every salesperson, it should also be done for the real estate office with its own business brand. Given that the marketing process here is quite specialised, it pays to involve experts in the process until it is well established and functional.
The process of marketing in commercial property is critical to the performance of the office. It complements the activities of the salespeople. In this way you can build market share consistently each and every year.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- Dawn Harper won the 100-meter hurdles in the U.S. track trials Saturday for the chance to defend her Olympic gold medal in the London Games.
Harper finished in 12.73 seconds. She'll be accompanied to London by runner-up Kellie Wells and third-place Lolo Jones. Wells finished in 12.77, and Jones in 12.86.
At the Beijing Olympics, Harper ran a personal best 12.54 seconds to beat favorite Jones, who tripped on the second-to-last hurdle and finished seventh.
Disappointed after her heat finish a day earlier, Jones knelt on the track at Hayward Field after the final with a broad smile on her face.
